Shri Subhash Maharaj Gethe was born in Maldon, Sinnar Taluka, Nashik District of Maharashtra to a family of Varkari Sampradaya devotees; his mother, Sau. Janakabai, and their father, Shri Bhimraj Maharaj Gethe have also been devotees of Sri Jnaneshwar Maharaj since their childhood. He was informally trained and spiritually molded by his father and late grandfather, Sri Karabhari Baba Gethe. To obtain formal spiritual training while pursuing high school, he stayed at the Haripath Ashram in Trimbakeshwar, Nashik. Subhash Maharaj Gethe started the Janakai Vedanta Swadhyaya Pratishthan in 2015 with the idea of mass communicating the highest ideals of Jnaneshwar Maharaj using a multi-lingual, spiritual, and Yoga training center at Alandi. JVSP’s goals are crystal clear – the preservation, fostering, and mass communication of the lofty ideals of Jnaneshwar Maharaj for all of humankind.
The goals of JVSP are focused on Varkari Sampradaya which is founded on Vedic philosophy
- To serve as a repository to preserve, study, and foster all aspects of the Varkari Sampradaya – literature, linguistics, history, music, dance, philosophy, and comparative study.
- To create members of society who have a well-rounded understanding and big-picture awareness of the past, present, and future of Varkari Sampradaya as well as the society.
- To nurture and promulgate the Bhartiya ethos by fostering the Vedas, Vedanta, and Bhakti literature.
- To preserve the ancient knowledge of divinity imbibed in Indian culture and bring forth the transformation of individuals through the exposition of Vedanta, spiritual practices, and social service.
- To serve as one of the primary centers of linguistic research on all Varkari Sampradaya literature.
- To employ technology to maximize the impact, understanding, and research of the philosophy and showcase its relevance to solving problems of the modern world.

Yuva Utthan 18+
The dynamism and high energy of youth, if conserved and channelized toward the positive direction, benefit the well-being of the entire cosmos. Yuva Utthan trains the youth in matters of social awareness, patriotism, and the overall well-being of the nation using educating them about the ancient scriptures of India. JVSP offers short and long-term courses in various languages like English, Sanskrit, Marathi, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, French, German, and Russian.
Center of Varkari Studies
CVS focuses on the dissemination and learning of Varkari literature such as Dyaneshwari, Abhang Gatha, Eknathi Bhagvat, and other literature, including Shrimad Bhagwad Gita and Brahmasutras for sadhakas, in a traditional learning center. The studies are available in multiple languages including English, Sanskrit, Hindi, and Marathi.
